AB 26 Proposes Required Training for Medical Cannabis Workers

Assembly Bill 26 introduced by Assembly Member Jones-Sawyer on 12/1/2015 would require applicants for medical marijuana licenses to institute training programs as a condition of licensure. It also would require licensing authorities, including the Bureau of Medical Marijuana Regulation (Bureau), the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) to deny license applications or revoke licenses if an applicant or licensee fails to institute approved training programs.
